Tata Steel has announced its Off Campus Drive 2026 for the position of Engineer Trainee. This opportunity is open to fresh engineering graduates across multiple disciplines. Candidates selected will undergo one year of structured training and may be absorbed into full-time roles based on performance.

📌 Drive Details

🎓 Educational Eligibility

Candidates must have completed (or be in final year, graduating in 2026) full-time B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc Engineering in the following branches:

• Ceramic

• Chemical

• Civil

• Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / IEM

• Mechanical

• Metallurgy

• Mineral

• Mining

Additional Eligibility Conditions

• Diploma holders who joined directly in 2nd year of engineering are eligible.

• Degree must be from AICTE/UGC approved full-time program.

• Only candidates who passed their qualifying exam in or after March 2022 are eligible.

• Preference will be given to candidates domiciled in Jharkhand, Punjab, Maharashtra, and Odisha.

Minimum Academic Criteria

• General Category: 65% or 6.5 CGPA (aggregate)

• PwD / Transgender / SC / ST: 60% or 6.0 CGPA (aggregate)

🏢 Program Structure

• Selected candidates will join as Engineer Trainees for a period of 1 year.

• Performance will be evaluated regularly during training.

• Upon successful completion, candidates may be appointed as Assistant Manager (IL6).

• If a candidate fails to complete their degree or cannot submit valid proof by 31 August 2026, training will be discontinued.

🎂 Age Criteria (As on 01 January 2026)

• General Category: Maximum 30 years

• Transgender / PwD / SC / ST: Maximum 32 years

💰 Compensation & Benefits

During Training:

• ₹30,000 per month (all-inclusive stipend)

• Medi-Claim coverage (Self only):

  • ₹2,50,000 hospitalization per year

  • ₹6,000 OPD per year

After Successful Completion:

• ₹7 LPA CTC

• Additional perks and benefits as per company policy
