Amazon Development Centre India Pvt Ltd (ADCI) is hiring Software Development Engineer I (SDE I) for its University Talent Acquisition program.

This opportunity is ideal for recent graduates who are passionate about coding, problem-solving, distributed systems, and building scalable applications that impact millions of users globally.

As an SDE I, you will design and develop innovative software solutions in a fast-paced, agile environment. You’ll collaborate with experienced engineers and contribute to building reliable, scalable, and high-performance systems.

🚀 Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and launch innovative products

• Develop scalable distributed systems and cloud-based solutions

• Build storage, indexing, and querying systems that are fault-tolerant and efficient

• Write clean, maintainable, and high-quality production-level code

• Solve complex technical problems using strong computer science fundamentals

• Work in an agile development environment with rapid release cycles

• Contribute to system design discussions and technical architecture decisions

🎓 Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field

• Strong foundation in:

  • Data Structures

  • Algorithms

  • Object-Oriented Design

  • Problem Solving & Complexity Analysis

• Proficiency in at least one programming language:

  • C/C++

  • Java

  • Python

  • Perl

• Previous technical internship experience

• Exposure to distributed or multi-tier systems

• Knowledge of relational databases

• Understanding of optimization techniques (linear/non-linear optimization)

• Ability to clearly explain technical challenges and solutions

• Comfortable working with ambiguous problem statements

• Strong analytical and abstract thinking skills
