HCL Technologies is hiring Software Engineer I for its Noida location. This role focuses on BigFix (IBM BigFix / HCL Automation Suite) and infrastructure automation.

This opportunity is ideal for fresh graduates and early-career professionals who are interested in Infrastructure Management, Patch Management, DevOps, and IT Automation within large enterprise environments.

🚀 Key Responsibilities

• Design technical solutions to address customer business and infrastructure challenges

• Manage and support Proof of Concepts (PoCs)

• Customize BigFix deployments based on client requirements

• Build scalable, high-availability (HA/DR) BigFix environments

• Automate infrastructure operations and reduce manual workloads

• Perform patch management for Windows, Linux, and UNIX systems

• Conduct compliance and vulnerability management activities

• Support server build and hardening processes

• Develop automation scripts and deployment workflows

• Work across cross-platform environments (Windows & UNIX/Linux)

🛠 Required Skills

• Knowledge of IBM BigFix / HCL BigFix (HCL Eagle)

• Experience in Infrastructure & Patch Management

• Understanding of Configuration Management & Reporting

• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as:

  • Puppet

  • Chef

  • Ansible

• Basic SQL knowledge (writing simple queries)

• Scripting knowledge (Bash or related scripting languages)

• Understanding of:

  • Active Directory

  • ITSM (IT Service Management)

  • CMDB (Configuration Management Database)

  • IT Security fundamentals

  • IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS models

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Self-motivated and detail-oriented

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelor of Technology / Bachelor of Engineering

• 0 – 2.5 years of relevant experience

• Understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure environments
