🎯 Role Overview

As a Data & AI Apprentice, you will work closely with the Data & AI team on real-time projects. You will assist in data engineering tasks, analytics work, and AI/GenAI initiatives while learning tools, coding practices, and delivery standards.

✅ Required Skills (Mandatory)

Python:

• Basic to intermediate hands-on experience

• Knowledge of loops, functions, file handling, and debugging

SQL:

• Strong understanding of joins, group by, filtering, and subqueries

Programming Basics:

• Understanding of data types, lists/arrays, dictionaries

• Basic error handling and debugging

• Logical thinking to solve programming problems

Data Handling:

• Familiarity with Pandas and NumPy

• Data cleaning and transformation concepts

• Understanding of relational databases (tables, keys, relationships)

⭐ Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

• Exposure to AI/ML, GenAI, or Agentic AI projects (chatbots, NLP, automation, analytics).

• Basic knowledge of ML tools such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.

• Awareness of GenAI frameworks like Hugging Face or LangChain.

• Familiarity with cloud or data tools such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Power BI, or AWS basics.

• Understanding of REST APIs and JSON.

• Participation in hackathons, Kaggle competitions, research projects, or GitHub contributions.

💼 Key Responsibilities

📊 Data Work (Python & SQL)

• Write SQL queries to extract and validate data.

• Clean and prepare datasets using Python libraries.

• Support dashboard and reporting dataset preparation.

• Perform data quality checks such as duplicate detection and missing value analysis.

🤖 AI / GenAI Support

• Assist in small AI/ML or GenAI-related tasks.

• Help in prompt testing and response evaluation.

• Contribute to simple proof-of-concept projects such as:

  • Chatbot workflows

  • Document Q&A systems

  • Basic classification or prediction tasks

• Maintain proper documentation of learning and results.

🛠 Engineering Discipline

• Follow coding standards and review feedback.

• Use Git/GitHub for version control.

• Write clean and readable code with basic validation checks.

• Prepare simple technical documentation and user guides.

🤝 Team Collaboration

• Work with senior team members in agile project environments.
