Role Purpose – Junior Engineer
The purpose of the Junior Engineer role is to work on designing, developing, testing, and troubleshooting software-based solutions, models, and simulations according to client project needs. The role involves working with engineering software tools and supporting projects from development to deployment.
Roles and Responsibilities
As a Junior Engineer at Wipro, your responsibilities will include:
Designing and developing solutions based on client requirements
Using engineering software tools such as CAD and CAE to build models as per project plans
Testing prototypes and designs on software platforms and checking boundary conditions such as stress and impact
Preparing technical specifications and evaluating system feasibility by integrating different software components
Creating prototypes based on engineering drawings and CAD designs
Performing Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for new client requirements
Running simulations in virtual environments to provide efficient and optimized solutions
Keeping software updated with the latest features to improve performance and reduce cost
Improving applications and solutions by identifying areas for enhancement
Following industry-standard procedures and client-specific guidelines while developing models
Providing technical support and resolving issues when required
Fixing defects raised by clients or integration teams through proper ticket resolution
Creating software verification plans and maintaining quality assurance standards
Debugging, upgrading, and maintaining existing systems within defined timelines
Deploying applications and reviewing user feedback to ensure customer satisfaction
Ensuring all work follows project schedules and industry compliance standards
Preparing and maintaining reports and documentation for clients
Submitting weekly and monthly status updates as required
Maintaining records of design changes, improvements, and recommendations
Managing client time sheets accurately
Providing written knowledge transfer documents and maintaining project history
