Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join the Asset Management Data Services team as a Technical Data Analyst. In this role, you will support financial instrument data, pricing, analytics, benchmarks, and valuation processes while ensuring high standards of accuracy and governance.
This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy working with large datasets, solving data challenges, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced financial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure accuracy and completeness of security, pricing, benchmark, index, and analytics data
Execute daily and periodic data validation, reconciliation, enrichment, and reporting activities within defined service levels
Analyze large datasets to identify discrepancies and perform root cause investigations
Respond to stakeholder queries from portfolio management, risk teams, and internal departments
Maintain documentation and follow data governance and compliance standards
Provide business insights and suggest improvements to enhance data processes and controls
Support system testing, release activities, and production changes in coordination with technology teams and vendors
Utilize tools such as Bloomberg, SQL, VBA, Power BI, ETL platforms, and Unix-based applications
Team Overview
You will be part of the Data Services function within the Asset Management division, supporting global benchmark and analytics data operations. The team operates across multiple regions to ensure continuous service coverage and data delivery to investment teams worldwide.
Required Qualifications
University degree in Business Management, Finance, Information Technology, or related field
Strong understanding of financial instruments, asset classes, indices, and benchmarks
Experience in reconciliation processes, troubleshooting, and documentation
Proficiency in Excel, VBA, SQL, and ETL tools such as Alteryx
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Experience working with financial data platforms such as Bloomberg or similar systems
Preferred Skills
Basic scripting knowledge in Python or Shell for automation tasks
Experience with reporting tools like Power BI
Exposure to investment management platforms and vendor data systems
Understanding of index licensing or vendor coordination processes
