Job Overview

SLB India Technology Centre is hiring for the position of Associate Software Engineer in Coimbatore, India. The role is part of the Digital Technology & Research team and involves delivering digital solutions that support various business capabilities.

The Associate Software Engineer will contribute to the development of new features, enhancement of existing applications, application troubleshooting, performance improvement, testing, and collaboration with application stakeholders and other technical teams.

About the Role

The Associate Software Engineer will be part of SLB’s IT delivery teams, working on digital solutions and applications. The role involves developing new features for projects and products as well as analyzing, upgrading, and troubleshooting existing applications.

The position also involves application performance monitoring, service improvement, unit and integration testing, stakeholder communication, knowledge sharing, and following SLB’s Information Technology standards, policies, processes, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new features for projects and products.

• Contribute to the analysis, upgrade, and troubleshooting of existing applications.

• Identify and troubleshoot application performance issues and service degradation.

• Work with developers and database administrators to resolve application issues.

• Contribute to improving the service quality of applications.

• Ensure quality delivery through unit testing and integration testing.

• Communicate with key application stakeholders.

• Follow up on actions, solutions, and traceable improvements.

• Share knowledge and technical information with team members.

• Follow SLB standards, Information Technology policies, processes, and procedures.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or other relevant field.
