About the Role

Qualcomm is looking for Modem-RF Wireless Software Engineers with 0–3 years of experience to develop and validate software for Qualcomm's Modem-RF wireless chipsets.

The role involves working closely with RF hardware, modem/baseband, RF ASIC and test engineering teams to develop software, drivers and algorithms for Qualcomm's communication systems.

Fresh graduates are also eligible if they have a strong understanding of C/C++, embedded software, digital/wireless communications, ECE fundamentals and RF theory.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop drivers for Modem-RF transceivers.

• Develop and optimize Modem-RF transceiver and RF front-end software modules.

• Work on algorithms and software that improve system performance, factory yields and RF testability.

• Investigate and troubleshoot complex RF and modem issues.

• Collaborate with RF hardware, modem/baseband, ASIC and test engineering teams.

• Work with physical-layer teams to deliver new wireless communication features.

• Contribute to software development for Qualcomm's Modem-RF wireless chipsets.

Required Skills

• Strong C programming skills.

• Knowledge of C/C++ software programming and debugging.

• Understanding of RF and digital communication systems.

• Knowledge of wireless communication systems.

• Understanding of software engineering concepts.

• Knowledge of embedded real-time systems / RTOS.

• Understanding of ECE fundamentals and RF theory.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.
