Job Overview
Medpace is expanding its IT team and looking for a **Junior Data Engineer** to support data projects that are important for business operations.
This role focuses on working with company data — collecting it, cleaning it, storing it, and making it ready for analysis.
You will mainly:
* Build and maintain data pipelines
* Ensure data accuracy and quality
* Help in data modeling and data storage systems
* Write SQL and Python scripts
* Work with other teams to make data accessible and secure
Main Responsibilities:
Work with databases and data warehouse tools (Snowflake, SQL Server, ANSI SQL, T-SQL)
Support ETL/ELT processes using tools like dbt, Azure Data Factory, and SSIS
Develop dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI
Understand and document user requirements
Test and validate software and data processes
Follow full software development lifecycle (design → build → test → release → maintain)
Communicate with team members about development and tools
Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
Internship experience in data or software engineering preferred
Knowledge of SQL databases is required
Understanding of data models (Star Schema and Snowflake Schema)
Basic knowledge of ETL and reporting concepts
Familiarity with REST APIs
Preferred Skills
Snowflake data warehouse, Fivetran, dbt
Python programming
C# and Azure (bonus)
Good analytical and communication skills
