Role Overview – Testing (BCM)

The Testing-BCM role at EY GDS is part of the Consulting practice, focusing on software testing, quality assurance, and business continuity management support.

Candidates will work on validating software systems, ensuring product quality, and supporting enterprise-level applications across domains like cloud, data, and digital transformation.

This role is suitable for candidates interested in software testing, QA engineering, and technology consulting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform software testing activities including functional and user acceptance testing (UAT)

• Identify defects and ensure software quality across applications

• Support testing lifecycle activities aligned with SDLC processes

• Collaborate with development and consulting teams for issue resolution

• Work on business-critical applications and enterprise systems

• Support quality assurance for digital and cloud-based solutions

• Document test cases, test results, and defect reports

• Participate in continuous improvement of testing processes

Skills Required

Technical Skills

• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

• Basic knowledge of testing methodologies (manual/functional testing)

• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or .NET (preferred)

• Basic knowledge of SQL or databases (Oracle / Teradata / SQL Server)

• Exposure to automation or testing tools is an advantage

• Freshers and final-year students eligible (as per off-campus norms)

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

• Internship experience in testing or software development

• Exposure to automation testing tools

• Basic understanding of cloud platforms or enterprise systems
