Role Overview

Ericsson’s Mobile Financial Services team builds technology that supports financial access for millions of users worldwide. The platform powers services such as digital payments, money transfers, savings, and lending across multiple regions including Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America.

As an Associate Engineer, you will support operations and delivery for a secure, large-scale financial platform. You will be involved in system maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, and integration activities while working closely with global teams in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with global, multi-functional teams

• Provide operational and technical support across system lifecycle stages

• Participate in shift-based support and on-site work when required

• Assist with platform integrations and deployments

• Perform upgrades, patching, and routine maintenance activities

• Troubleshoot issues and support service continuity

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Software Engineering or a related field

• Strong knowledge of Linux or Unix systems

• Experience with scripting tools such as Shell, Python, or Ansible

• Familiarity with container platforms like Docker or Kubernetes

• Good communication and analytical skills

• Comfortable working in rotating shifts

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to monitoring tools such as Grafana or Elasticsearch

• Understanding of Oracle databases

• Knowledge of IT service management or ITIL practices

• Background in financial systems, mobile commerce, or online banking

• Experience with incident, problem, and change management processe

• Effective problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
