About the Role

Deloitte is looking for enthusiastic and detail-oriented Associate Automation Test Engineers to join its Quality Engineering team in Bengaluru.

Selected candidates will work closely with developers, business analysts and senior QA engineers to design, execute and maintain automated test solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand business and functional requirements and prepare test scenarios and test cases.

• Develop, execute and maintain automated test scripts for web and API applications.

• Perform functional, regression, smoke and sanity testing.

• Identify, log, track and verify software defects using defect management tools.

• Collaborate with developers and project stakeholders to resolve issues.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives.

• Contribute to test documentation, execution reports and quality metrics.

• Continuously learn and adopt new testing tools, frameworks and best practices.

Required Skills

• Fresh graduates or candidates with 0–2 years of experience

• Basic understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

• Knowledge of automation testing tools such as Selenium WebDriver

• Basic programming knowledge in Java or Python

• Understanding of API testing concepts using Postman or REST Assured

• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems

• Knowledge of SQL and database concepts

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and debugging skills

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Willingness to learn new technologies and work in a collaborative environment

Preferred Skills

• TestNG or JUnit

• BDD frameworks such as Cucumber
