Amazon Data Services India Private Limited (ADSIPL) is inviting applications for the position of DCO Trainee (Data Center Operations Technician). This opportunity is ideal for engineering graduates who are passionate about IT infrastructure, server hardware, Linux systems, and cloud technologies.

As part of the Data Center Operations team, you will support and maintain critical infrastructure that powers Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platforms. This role offers hands-on exposure to enterprise-grade data center environments and cutting-edge cloud technologies.

The position involves working in rotational 24x7 shifts and may include physical activities such as equipment installation and hardware handling.

🚀 Key Responsibilities

• Support daily data center operations and infrastructure maintenance

• Perform server rack installation and hardware troubleshooting (break-fix)

• Diagnose issues related to Linux/Unix systems and server boot processes

• Troubleshoot networking issues involving TCP/IP, Ethernet, and Layer 2/3 technologies

• Handle trouble tickets and ensure SLA compliance

• Participate in scheduled maintenance and change management processes

• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and contribute to technical documentation

• Collaborate with internal technical teams and external vendors

• Follow safety, security, and operational compliance guidelines

• Participate in on-call rotation and shift-based operational coverage

🎓 Basic Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in IT, Information Systems, ECE, or Electronics & Telecommunications

• Strong understanding of Linux/Unix Administration

• Knowledge of server hardware troubleshooting

• Understanding of server boot processes (POST, BIOS, PXE, RAID, GRUB/LILO)

• Basic networking knowledge: TCP/IP, Ethernet, Layer 2/Layer 3

• Familiarity with copper and fiber optic cabling

• Good communication skills

• Strong interest in IT infrastructure and data center technologies

⭐ Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of console routers, IPMI, BMC

• Exposure to Cisco IOS, NX-OS, JunOS

• Experience with network device installation and configuration

• Understanding of redundancy systems (power feeds, RAID, connectivity)

• Awareness of data center best practices (hot/cold aisles, security, inventory management)

• Basic scripting knowledge (Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby)

• Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, S3, and EBS

🏗 Work Environment

• Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra

• 24x7 rotational shift model

• Physical requirements include lifting equipment up to 18 kg

• Work may involve confined or elevated spaces while following safety protocols
